Packing-Less Sinus Surgery

Everyone it seems has heard horror stories from a friend who had sinus surgery and had to suffer through days of a packed nose. Unfortunately, the packed nose is not the worst of it. These patients also have had to suffer through the removal of the packing. Packing is the most feared aspect of sinus surgery for most patients.

At the DaneshradClinic, Dr. Daneshrad specializes in packing-less sinus surgery. The main purpose of nasal packing is to prevent post-operative bleeding and scarring. Rather than place the packing at the end of surgery and make the patient suffer with days of headaches, nasal pain and pressure, Dr. Daneshrad uses nasal foam which performs the same functions as packing exceptionally well. This nasal foam is then irrigated out of the nose, by the patient, a few days after surgery thereby allowing the patient to avoid the pain and discomfort associated with the removal of the nasal packing.
