What to expect from the nasal reconstruction procedure
Before the surgical appointment is made, patients consult with Dr. Payam Daneshrad to determine if they are an appropriate candidate for this or other facial procedures. Once patients have been evaluated and want to continue with the treatment, a surgery date is scheduled. During the procedure, the nasal passages are closely evaluated and re-established if needed to maintain proper airflow. Patients who are having the procedure done for cosmetic reasons may have skin, cartilage, and bone removed or replaced, depending on their needs. Most patients can have the procedure done in one surgery, while others may need more than one procedure to complete the process.
